Creating your account is free and takes about a minute. Then you connect your till system and we post you a TapReceipt card and stand — one per till, free, postage included. You are live once the card arrives.
Nothing changes at the till. Once the sale goes through, the customer taps their phone on the TapReceipt card next to your card reader. No app, no QR code, nothing for staff to do.
Their receipt opens on their phone straight away. First time, they type their email if they want a copy sent — and can tick to hear about your offers. If they leave “Save my email to this device” ticked, the next time they tap — at your shop or any other shop using TapReceipt — the receipt is emailed automatically without typing anything. They can switch this off from the Settings link on any receipt.
Your dashboard shows every sale, which tills are busiest, how many customers took a receipt, and who opted in to hear from you. That marketing list is yours — not your card machine provider’s.
A small branded card, about the size of a business card, with a chip inside that holds a web address — nothing else. No battery, no wiring, no pairing. It sits next to your card reader where customers can reach it. Tapping it is not a payment — nothing is charged; the phone simply opens the receipt for the sale that has just gone through. An NFC receipt is just that: a digital receipt opened by holding a phone near the card after paying.
We send you one card per till free of charge, with a small stand and postage included, already set up for your shop. If you have several tills, each card is linked to its own till so your dashboard shows where every sale happened. Need a replacement or an extra? Just ask.
